In order to improve the safety of the tower crane torque limiter, the following specific measures can be taken to avoid the failure of the tower crane torque limiter.
1. Improvement of Dynamic Travel Switch
The main function of the dynamic travel switch is to control its travel and perform terminal limit protection. The dynamic travel switch is transformed into a combined switch with high sensitivity and accuracy, namely a combined warning switch and a combined cut-off switch. Its structure is divided into a single-arm operation type with rollers, which can be automatically reset; a fork-arm operation type with rollers, which has two switching positions; a worm gear-driven cam operation type, which uses a three-pronged arm to operate three switching positions; and a two-arm operation type with rollers, which has two switching positions. The improved dynamic travel switch increases the control bottom line of the moment limiter. That is to say, when an abnormal situation occurs, the control element of the moment limiter must first touch the control bottom line. Immediately issue an alarm and disconnect the lifting power supply at the same time, only allowing descent.
2. Protection during Transportation, Disassembly and Assembly
The transportation, disassembly and assembly process of the moment limiter, like many special equipment, requires fixed people, fixed machines and fixed responsibilities. Even when there are fewer people, the personnel should remain relatively fixed. Mark before disassembly, disassemble and place gently, and protect properly. Do not squeeze or collide with each other to avoid damage. During equipment relocation, the crane operator or full-time electrician must properly handle the display instrument, connecting cables, force-taking device components and sensors of the device. It is best to install and restore according to the original order and position, and then conduct debugging and calibration. Tower cranes generally have many working condition curves. For example, there are main boom working conditions and auxiliary boom working conditions. Under the auxiliary boom working condition, there are three boom lengths and three working conditions. As long as one parameter such as boom length, lifting ratio, and large hook weight changes, the moment limiter will call the corresponding curve. Therefore, due to the fact that the force-taking components of the moment limiter will be worn out after long-term use or be affected by other natural environments, resulting in a large error in the displayed weight. Therefore, at regular intervals (generally 3 to 6 months), the accuracy of the system should be checked regularly. For deviations beyond the national standard range, the weight should be readjusted and calibrated, and relevant data should be filed for future reasonable use and maintenance.
3. Fix the wires and add multiple protective sleeves to the wires
The limit switch of the moment limiter has poor waterproof performance and often malfunctions. The tower crane driver is afraid of the trouble of replacement and dismantles its electrical circuit without permission. As a result, the moment limiter loses its safety protection function. Fixing the wires and adding multiple protective sleeves to the wires can effectively prevent the moment limiter from failing. The lifting moment limiter can also be sealed or locked to protect the tower crane moment limiter.
